Process
Using traditional ink wash techniques, layers of diluted ink were applied to create depth and atmosphere. The process itself mirrors the slow decay depicted—each layer adding to the accumulated weight of time.
Inspiration
Influenced by the ruins of Tintern Abbey and the writings of John Ruskin on the beauty of decay, this work argues that destruction is merely another form of creation.
