Created using traditional pen and ink techniques, this portrait required over 40 hours of meticulous line work. Each mark was placed with intention, building up the image through thousands of individual strokes.
Drawing from Dürer's 'Melencolia I' and the tradition of memento mori, this contemporary interpretation explores how sorrow shapes not just our expressions, but our very being.
